Changes to Employee Whistleblower Protections

Recently, several changes went into effect to New York Labor Law Section 740 to protect employees who report health and safety violations in the workplace. The law now protects not only employees, but also former employees and independent contractors, from adverse employment actions that would impact current or future employment.
