On March 11, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) was signed into law expanding the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) tax credits to encourage small and midsize employers to provide paid time off for FFCRA and new COVID-19-related reasons. Randi explains how the ARPA resets the 10-day limit for the tax credit for paid sick leave under FFCRA as of April 1, noting that: “Any days an employee took before that date will not count toward the cap following that date.” Read the article here.
