Josh Blosveren Elected to American College of Coverage Counsel
Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney insurance recovery partner Josh Blosveren has been admitted as a Fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel, the preeminent, invitation-only association of attorneys who represent the interests of insurers and policyholders. The ACCC’s Fellows include many of the most prominent members of the insurance-law bars of the United States and Canada, as well as honorary Fellows from academia and the judiciary.
Throughout his career, Josh has maintained a long record of successful advocacy in highly visible and valuable complex business litigation matters, particularly insurance recovery for policyholders. Josh’s insurance recovery practice encompasses advising and representing clients in connection with a wide array of policies and coverages. Josh has successfully litigated and tried cases and argued appeals in numerous state and federal courts and arbitral forums.
Some of Josh’s recent successes include winning a trial in Delaware Superior Court for Syngenta in a case implicating hundreds of millions of dollars of losses arising from thousands of personal injury claims, and then securing a precedential decision from the Delaware Supreme Court upholding the trial court’s two summary judgment rulings in favor of Syngenta. Josh also secured an appellate victory for Fabrique Innovations, Inc. over Federal Insurance Company in which the Second Circuit affirmed the district court’s decision awarding Fabrique not only the full amount of its loss but also the full amount of the fees it incurred in attempting to mitigate the loss in a bankruptcy litigation.
Josh joins HNRK founding partner Dorothea Regal, who was elected a Fellow in 2021.
