Dorothea Regal and Helene Hechtkopf Named to Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Women in Business Law Americas Awards Shortlist
New York, NY–May 3, 2021–Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney, LLP founding partner Dorothea Regal and partner Helene Hechtkopf have been shortlisted for Euromoney’s 2021 Women in Business Law Americas awards. This annual ranking recognizes leading women lawyers for their professional accomplishments as well as their advocacy and influence within their fields. Dorothea is shortlisted for the Best in Insurance & Reinsurance category, while Helene is shortlisted in the Rising Star: Litigation category.
As a founding partner of HNRK and head of its insurance recovery practice, Dorothea has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for policyholders. She is regularly sought out for complex and valuable insurance coverage disputes, in international and U.S. arbitration, litigation, and counseling. She has prevailed for commercial and industrial policyholders in connection with insurance coverage for environmental, asbestos, products and directors & officers liability claims, property insurance, and business interruption coverage. Dorothea was named an Elite Boutique Trailblazer by The National Law Journal in 2019.
Helene focuses her practice on a wide range of litigation, including commercial, employment, and construction. She has represented the MTA in numerous Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) cases, including a rare three-day bench trial where she served as first chair and won a defense verdict. Helene was recently named a Rising Star by The New York Law Journal and a Woman Worth Watching by Profiles in Diversity Journal.
